Matheran (Hill station in Raigad district ) is nice place , situated near Mumbai. So friends you can arrange one day picnic over there : )
How to reach to Matheran ?
From mumbai its very easy to reach to matheran , First you have to reach to Neral station via Central Railway. From Neral station either you can go to matheran by Cabs or by Mini-train (Facility of mini train is not available in rainy season).
